Abstract
Methyltrioxorhenium catalyzes the efficient and stereospecific desulfurizat ion of thiiranes by triphenylphosphine at room temperature, moreso when MTO has been pretreated with hydrogen sulfide, with a Re-V species as the acti ve form of the catalyst.
