Abstract
Large quantities of Carbon Oxides (COx) Sulfide Oxides (SOx) and Nitride Ox ides (NOx) are the main cause for acid rains, photochemical smog and Greenh ouse effect. The plasma process within induced free energetic electrons dis charge is one of the most effective methods of reducing SOx, NOx and CO2 fr om industrial flue gases. This paper for dissociation of a atmosphere pollu tant gases by corona discharge. The reactor consists of two coaxial, specia lly designed cylindrical electrodes. An ac barrier corona discharge at atmo spheric pressure is generated by application of high voltage to the inner e lectrode while the outer electrode is grounded. Discharge by products of ai r and NOx are measured by a mass spectrometer in order to investigate the e ffect of a surface multidipole magnetic fields on the corona discharge and on the pollutant gas reduction.
