Abstract
Feedback linearization has been used successfully to address some of the pr actical control problems. This paper introduces a practical control philoso phy for a point to point HVDC link, based on the above principle. The basic DC link equation has been used to evaluate the firing angle for the rectif ier. An Adaline has been trained to identify the parameters of the simplifi ed system model prior to the application of this control. The simulation re sults presented in this paper prove the advantage of the proposed control s cheme. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
