Abstract
Tracheostomy is mere commonplace, particularly since the introduction of pe rcutaneous techniques performed at the patient's bedside in the intensive c are unit. Subsequent care and management within ordinary wards causes anxie ty among staff. This review identified some of the problems encountered and discusses their potential management.
