Abstract
The hair follicle is a dynamic structure in which vigorous cell proliferati on ansi protein synthesis occur on an intermittent basis during the course of the hair growth cycle. This article reviews how the kinetics of hair gro wth are altered in common physiological and pathological hair disorders and how these changes can be related to the clinical features.
