Abstract
The prognosis following acute myocardial infarction is dependent upon the p resence of adequate blood flow in the infarct-related vessel. All too often , this is not achieved by thrombolytic therapy ('failed thrombolysis'). Diagnosis of failed thrombolysis is difficult and the optimum management is currently unclear.
