Abstract
The solubility of beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) was studied in aqueous soluti ons of various organic acids. The hydroxy acids, especially citric and tart aric acid were found to increase the solubility of beta-CD, while some othe r carboxylic acids reduced it. From solubility data the apparent complex as sociation constants were calculated.
