Abstract
TELEPORT is an experimental teleconferencing system with the goal of enabli ng small groups of people, although geographically separated, to meet as if face to face. The innovative features of the system include the use of ful l-wall display surfaces, "merging" of real and virtual environments, viewer tracking, and real-time compositing of live video with synthetic backgroun ds.
