Abstract
BACKGROUND: Cardiac rhabdomyoma is a very common benign tumor in infan ts and children. It can be confused clinically with a malignant tumor. CASE: A 6-year-old girl teas admitted with a chief complaint of breat hlessness. Chest roentgenography revealed cardiomegaly. Echocardiograp hy showed a right atrial mass. Intraoperative fine needle aspiration s howed groups of large, polygonal cells with granular, vacuolated cytop lasm. Rarely were intranuclear inclusions observed. CONCLUSION: The cy tologic findings were characteristic of rhabdomyoma.
