Aa. Likhoded et al., CP-violating gauge-boson couplings in the process e(+)e(-)->mu(+)mu(-)nu(nu)over-bar at a next linear collider, PHYS ATOM N, 62(5), 1999, pp. 886-894
We study the sensitivity of a 500-GeV e(+)e(-) linear collider to CP-violat
ing anomalous gauge-boson couplings. We find that, with an integrated lumin
osity of 50 fb(-1), and with only one nonzero coupling at a time, the proce
ss e(+)e(-) --> W+W- can be used to set the 95%-confidence-level bounds \(k
) over tilde(gamma)\ less than or equal to 01, \(k) over tilde(Z)\ less tha
n or equal to 0.1, and \g(4)(Z)\ less than or equal to 0.1 from CP-even obs
ervables. By studying certain distributions in the process e(+)e(-) --> mu(
+)mu(-)nu<(nu)over bar>, one of the bounds can be improved to \g4Z\ less th
an or equal to 0.06. This process also allows the construction of a CP-odd
observable that can be used to set bounds on CP-violating new physics. At a
95% confidence level, we have obtained \(k) over tilde(gamma)\ less than o
r equal to 0,3, \(k) over tilde(Z)\ less than or equal to 0.2, and a much w
eaker bound on \g(4)(Z)\.
