Abstract
Putting nanoparticles into the pores of mesoporous solid will form an assem bly system with some properties of both the nanoparticle and mesoporous sol ids. However, it is expected that this new material will present new phenom ena due to the existence of mesoporous confinement, the coupling at particl e/pore interfaces and the surface effect of particles within pores. This ar ticle briefly reports some latest results of Nanomaterial and Nanostructure d Laboratory in this field, mainly including the effect of luminescence enh ancement, the adjustivity of the optical absorption edge and absorption ban d in a large region, the reversible transition between transparency and opa city, the sensitivity of adsorption and oxidation to ambience, and ambient- induced interface coupling effect etc.
