Abstract
A description is given of a numerical method for solving the equation for a liquid-crystal lens. An analysis is made of the results of a numerical sea rch for the optimal parameters of the control voltage. An experimental syst em for calibration of modal liquid-crystal lenses is considered. The operat ion of this system is based on real-time analysis of interferograms, The re sults are reported of demonstrations of the use of adaptive lenses in incoh erent-light imaging and in adaptive systems for laser radiation focusing.
