Abstract
The Marsden-Ratiu geometrical reduction for Poisson manifolds is extended t o Nambu-Poisson and generalized Poisson manifolds. If in addition a set of Hamiltonians on a Nambu-Poisson manifold is given, the corresponding Hamilt onian system is also reduced. Several applications are given. M.S. Classifi cation: 58F05, 53C15.
