The paper describes the synthesis of some heterocyclic disperse dyes d
erived from 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole and 1,2,3-benzotriazole. The dyes r
esulted from the coupling of the 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole diazonium salt
to beta-naphthol and to different azonaphthols and from the coupling
of the diazonium salts of some anilines substituted with substituents
that are most appropriate for disperse dyes to 1,2,3-benzotriazole, re
spectively. The diazonium salts of some amines, ortho-substituted as t
o the azo group were used in the process of coupling to benzotriazole.
Such salts were able to create complex combinations with ions of tran
sitional metals, by involving the iminic group from the triazonic cycl
e. The purity of dyes was checked by means of thin layer chromatograph
y and their structure was checked by elemental analysis and by electro
nic spectra. The resulted disperse dyes were applied on polyester and
polyamidic fibres. Their fastness properties were fairly good. The dye
s whose structures were liable to complexation formed complex compound
s on the fiber with copper sulfate(II). The fastness properties of the
se dyeings were extremely high.
