Studying the partition of the compounds 1 (p-H2N-AT-NHSO2R1;a) R-1 = 4
,6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidinyl, b) R-1 = 5,6-dimethoxy-4-pyrimidinyl, c) R-
1 = 5-methoxy-3-isoxazolyl and d) R-1 = 3,4-dimethyl-5-isoxazolyl) fro
m water (at high ionic strength, J = 1.5) to chlorinated solvents (chl
oroform, 1,2-dichlorethane and methylene chloride) containing differen
t ratios (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3, v/v) of alcohols (methanol, ethanol, n-pro
panol and i-propanol), a favorable partition was ascertained in such o
rganic phases, emphasizing especially the chloroform/methanol 1:1, v/v
mixture. The results pointed out a dependence between the structural
characteristics of the compounds 1 and those of the organic phases for
which the values of the dielectric constants (epsilon) were also meas
ured.
