Abstract
A styrylpyrylium salt was adsorbed on two types of TiO2 (anatase and g lass TiO2) and the obtained catalysts were characterized by IR spectro scopy and X-ray diffraction. The catalysts were studied for their acti vity towards H2O2 decomposition, and a mechanism was proposed for this activity, as well as a hypothesis for water cleavage by this type of active surfaces.
