Abstract
The new basic taxoid 2'-hydroxytaxine II (1) was isolated from the nee dles of Taxus cuspidata as the major component of the crude alkaloid f raction. An HPLC method for the analysis and separation of the alkaloi d fraction was developed. The structure of 1 was determined mainly by spectroscopic analysis.
