Increasing patient expectations regarding the appearance of restorations co
ntinue to test the ingenuity and skill of the dental team. To this end the
quest for sufficiently strong, metal-free, all-ceramic restorations to func
tion in all areas of the mouth continues apace. We report on a possible sol
ution to this problem that uses computer-aided design/computer-aided millin
g (CAD/CAM) technology coupled with a novel, densely sintered, ceramic mate
rial. In this article we offer suggestions for case selection, preparation
design, and luring procedures, and in addition illustrate these with a numb
er of completed cases.
