Abstract
Some reactions of the adduct of nonamethylferrocenecarbaldehyde with H BF4, [Me5C5FeC5Me4CH+(OH)]BF4-, and its transformation into the parama gnetic complex [Me5C5Fe+.C5Me4CH=O]BF4- were studied. The structure of the complex was established from the chemical properties, the data fr om IR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and H-1, C-13, and F-19 NMR spe ctroscopy and confirmed by independent synthesis.
