The end of the road for dual voltage flash memory

The entry of Hyundai into the Flash memory business with the introduction o f an 8Mbit single voltage device (see inset box) represented a new product direction for them, but was it also the watershed that will see the end of dual voltage Flash memory? This feature, from the perspective of Hyundai, r eminds designers of some of the problems that they take on when they use du al voltage Flash memory devices and why, in the future, they will be replac ed by single voltage devices.
