Quality assurance in German health care

With the increasing demands on hospitals for improved quality and lower cos ts, hospitals have been forced to reevaluate their manner of operation and quality assurance programms. Hospitals have also been faced with customer d issatisfaction and intense competition. This article reviews current qualit y-management systems and examines their position in dermatology.
