MULTIPLE CRITERIA MODELING AND ORDINAL DATA - EVALUATION IN TERMS OF SUBSETS OF CRITERIA

In an earlier article an ordinal multiple criteria model was presented in which each member of a set of alternatives was given an evaluation on each member of a set K of criteria. In this paper we extend this c oncept to the situation where each alternative i can be assessed in te rms of only a subset K-i of K. Various models are presented for dealin g with this partial criteria case and the pros and cons of these model s are discussed. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
