Abstract
Three kinds of morphological instabilities of the solid-vapor growth interf ace were recognized by scanning electron microscopy observation of the CdTe crystals, namely: constitutional supersaturation instability, crystallizat ion flow induced local instability and microscopic growth mechanism induced instability. The kind of instability is dependent on temperature field and crystal forming component concentration field in relation to crystallograp hic orientation of the interface.
