BMI resins represent a current category of polymers that are suitable for h
igh temperature applications. In this work, the influences of ALN ceramic p
owders on the properties of a modified bismaleimide resin were investigated
. Differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and dynamic mechanical analyzer (
DMA) were utilized to analyze the curing activation energy and glass transi
tion temperature, respectively. The experimental results show that the addi
tion of AIN increases the curing activation energy of the BMI, as well as r
aising the glass transition temperature slightly. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science
