Abstract
The deformability and fracture appearance of neutron irradiated Ti-Zr alloy were investigated. It was shown that irradiation at 200-250 degrees C resu lted in a drastic decrease of uniform elongation. The material irradiated a t 350 degrees C and over was characterized by high deformability. The dimpl e ductile transgranular fracture was found to be typical for the examined m aterial both in initial state and after the low temperature irradiation. El ements of ductile intergranular fracture were observed in the material afte r neutron irradiation at 400 degrees C. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
