Abstract
This paper describes the layout of an uncooled bolometer based on a VO2 fil m and the results of studying it. Studies have been made of how the hystere sis loop of the temperature dependence of the VO2 resistance affects the se nsitivity of the bolometer. Features of the dependences of the excess noise on the current and the frequency are detected in the phase-transition regi on. (C) 1999 The Optical Society of America.
