Abstract
The adsorption of maltose from its aqueous solution performed onto the alum ina surface at constant pH 6.0 and temperature 30 +/- 0.2 degrees obeys the Langmuir model. Various adsorption, kinetic and thermodynamic parameters h ave been calculated, The adsorption is significantly affected by pH of the suspension, presence of salts and organic solvents in the medium and temper ature of the system. The adsorption is confirmed to be of physical type in nature.
