Abstract
Nikulin in his recent paper [Phys. Rev. B 57, 11178 (1998)] reviewed their attempts to solve the phase problem in x-ray Bra,og diffraction. Through th ree numerical examples, we show that the phase-retrieval procedure proposed in that paper may lead to contradictory results. [S0163-1829(99)06521-2].
