Abstract
The local atomic environment of Co atoms in a CoO crystal was imaged by har d x-ray holography. The complete three dimensional picture of the first two cobalt neighbor shells with nearly isotropic resolution was obtained, usin g a combination of normal and inverse, synchrotron and laboratory experimen ts.
