The problem of the diffusion of particles, generated by an external source,
in the presence of absorbing traps and subsequent decay kinetics after swi
tching off the source was studied. The exact relationship between this proc
ess and kinetics of decay at random distribution has been obtained. The exa
ct solution for the one-dimensional case was found. We performed a Monte Ca
