ADVANCES IN GROUP-PSYCHOTHERAPY

The group literature over the past year is predominantly descriptive i n nature with relatively few empirical studies. It continues to lag be hind the individual psychotherapy literature on process-outcome studie s and there has been little attention to adapting current specific ind ividual psychotherapy models to the group context. Nonetheless, promis ing new group applications are being reported and the use of groups is increasing.
