Abstract
6-Aryl-1 1H-indolo[3,2-c]quinolines are prepared through a straightforward palladium-catalyzed carbonylative cyclization of o-(o '-aminophenylethynyl) trifluoro acetanilide wi th aryl iodides followed by the cyclization of th e resultant 3-acylindole derivatives. The reaction is best carried out as a one-pot process.
