Abstract
It is shown that holographic interferometry can be applied to solve two pro blems: heating of a glass plate by a complex heat source and nonisothermal flow of a submerged jet around a wedge. The process of isolating and number ing the skeletal lines on the interferograms is automated and direct calcul ations are made of the temperature fields. (C) 1999 American Institute of P hysics.
