Abstract
The interphase exchange efficiency was shown to be significantly affected b y granular-bed inhomogeneity. This follows from analysis of porosity spread in static granular beds and experimental data on ion exchange for static a nd oscillating granular beds. The feasibility for eliminating porosity spre ad and significantly (to 70%) raising the process efficiency is demonstrate d.
