Assessment of contractile reserve was performed in 16 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy and chronic atrial fibrillation. In this prospective study, low-dose dobutamine echocardiography could predict recovery of left ventri cular dysfunction and could identify tachycardiomyopathy before restoration of sinus rhythm.
