Substituted N-phenoxyethylanilines: preparation and acid base properties evaluation by fluorescence spectrometry

Representative substituted N-phenoxyethylanilines were prepared starting on 1-bromo- or 1-iodo-2-phenoxyethanes and anilines in DMSO as the solvent, i n mild reaction conditions. The acid dissociation constants of the N-aryl N -(2-aryloxyethyl) ammonium ions were attained by fluorescence spectrometry. The 200 MHz H-1 NMR spectra of all the N-phenoxyethylanilines are reported , four of them for their first time.
