Abstract
Natural La2O3 irradiated with similar to 80 MeV C-12(6+) results in the for mation of carrier-free isotopes, Eu-146,Eu-147, in the matrix. The produced carrier-free radioisotopes have been quantitatively separated with 1% HDEH P from 10(-3) M HCl solution. The europium radioisotopes have been successf ully back extracted into DTPA and EDTA medium for biomedical applications. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
