Abstract
Peaks at high redshifts in individual samples of quasars can be explained a s due to selection effects. It is concluded that peaks in quasar redshift d istribution do not obey any general formula that can constitute a periodici ty, even though individual samples may favour some redshifts of smaller val ues, viz. z < 1.
