Abstract
This paper deals with the development of a fuzzy logic based diagnosis syst em and its application as a fault detection and isolation (FDI) procedure i n a wastewater treatment plant. Different fault detection methods are teste d and their advantages and limitations are highlighted. An aggregate FDI st rategy is implemented and tested. Results using the fuzzy residual generati on module are presented and discussed based on experimental data from a 1 m (3) pilot-scale anaerobic digestion reactor for the treatment of raw indust rial wine distillery vinasses.
