Abstract
Population fluctuations in coastal resort areas have significant impli cations on the management of solid wastes. These differences between s ummer and winter populations require site specific solid waste managem ent systems be developed depending on local conditions. This paper ref ers to the basic principles and highlights of such solid waste managem ent problems.
