Abstract
The aim of this study is to show the advantages of SBR technologies an d to illustrate the optimum operation strategy to fulfill the EEC stan dards defined For sensitive coastal areas. For this purpose, a modifie d version of the IAWQ activated Sludge Model I has been used and the v ariations of C and N components have been indicated with a typical dom estic wastewater sample at two different temperatures-representing sum mer and winter conditions using the default values of the ASM1.
