Abstract
This paper deals with sensitization of 18Cr-12Ni-2,5Mo austenitic stainless steel treated in a temperature range of 500-1050 degrees C. The corrosion resistance of individual heat treated states has been measured by two diffe rent EPR test methods (single and double loop methods) and by Strauss test. On the basis of the EPR and Strauss test results the time-temperature sens itization diagrams have been constructed. The results have been compared an d their conformity has been judged. The Cr depletion in regions nearest to the grain boundaries has been measured with the help of EDX analysis. (C) 1 999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
