A short review of the radiochemical methods for preparation of widely used
or promising cyclotronproduced radionuclides for nuclear medicine and biome
dical or environmental studies is given. The presented data include the cur
rent status of the production of some gamma-emitters (Ru-97, In-111, I-123,
Tl-201), generator-pairs (Ge-68/Ga-68, Sr-82/Rb-82, Ra-128/Cs-128, W-178/T
a-178), radioisotopes for metabolism studies (Al-26, Cu-67, Pu-237) and act
inides tracers for environmental researches (Np-235, Np-236, Pu-236). The c
onditions for preparation of high-purity isotopes have been investigated an
d procedures including target chemistry design were developed.
