Abstract
The dynamics of N2O and N-2 emission from water-stable aggregates of cherno zem, gray forest, soddy-podzolic, and burozem soils has been studied. The s hare of N-2 in denitrification end-products increased and that of N2O decre ased with an increase in the size of water-stable aggregates. In most soils , N2O predominated in denitrification products in aggregates of 0.25-2.0 mm , while N-2 predominated in aggregates of 2-5 mm. The exception was burozem , where gaseous products of denitrification contained no less than 40% of N 2O.
