Generation of a zebrafish P1 artificial chromosome library

We have constructed a genomic P1 artificial chromosome library from the zeb rafish. The library has been arrayed and archived in two hundred seventy-on e 384-well microtiter dishes. It encompasses four to five genome equivalent s with an average insert size of similar to 115 kb and is readily accessibl e to the scientific community, The library has been used by numerous invest igators in the community and shown to be a useful reagent for chromosomal w alking and positional cloning.
