From data of deep electromagnetic sounding with a controlled source of fiel
ds, the deep geoelectric structure of the Earth's crust of the Baikal test
ground has been established. It is shown that the deep location of a conduc
ting crust bed in the North-Muya area is the result of active seismotectoni
c processes. Deep geoelectric sections of the South-Baikal area are present
ed, the geoelectric characteristics of the major seismotectonic structures
of the Selenga basin are described, and the effect of strains in the Earth'
s crust of Southern Baikal and the Selenga delta on the formation of deep c
onducting structures is discussed.
