The problem of induction logging in two-dimensional axially symmetric media
with the use of high-frequency sources of current is considered. On the ba
sis of the variable-triangle method, a finite-difference algorithm has been
constructed and tested, which permits simulation of the electromagnetic fi
eld in complex media with resistivity varying over a wide range. The algori
thm takes into account displacement currents and the finite dimensions of a
current source. The calculated HFILIS (high-frequency induction-logging is
oparametric sounding) signals in test tank are-compared with the experiment
al results.
