Abstract
The paper briefly describes the reconstructed primary clock CS1 of the Phys ikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Braunschweig, Germany, the estimat ion of its type B standard uncertainty; and some results obtained during th e first year of routine operation. The present estimate of the CS1 type B s tandard uncertainty is 7 x 10(-15) (1 sigma).
