The aflatoxins are a group of substances, caused from molds mainly belongin
g to the Aspergillus genus, whose toxicity is well-known fora long time. Th
is study contains the results of the monitoring of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G
2, in pistachios of different geographical origin. The results show, as for
as the analyzed samples are concerned, that the contamination is more alar
ming in the pistachios of foreign origin than in the national ones.
