Determination of 4,4 '-diaminodiphenyl sulfone and its derivatives in biological samples by spectrophotometry and chromatography

Spectrophotometry and high-performance liquid and thin-layer chromatography were used for determining medicinal substances such as 4,4'-diaminodipheny l sulfone and tetrasodium 4,4'-bis-(3-phenyl-1,3-disulfopropylamino)-diphen yl sulfonate as their dinitrobenzoxadiazole derivatives in blood serum, uri ne, saliva, and gastric juices. The determination conditions were examined and optimized. The detection limit was found to be 1 x 10(-6) M. The proced ures developed were used for investigating the kinetics and metabolism of x enobiotics in the human body.
